I have uploaded “Interview with Taro Kataoka vol. 2″.
I hope you enjoy ![]()

Last year, I posted Izumiya Bekko over 75cm.
I thought there are not many people interested in Bekko but it was my wrong misunderstanding.
Good koi always catch someone’s eye ![]()
I received several inquiries to hunt similar Bekko.
However, unfortunately, I couldn’t find better one so I just waited another one more year to see upcoming.
I visited Izumiya and found better one than last year.
However, it has big scar on the right side . . . .
Hmm . . . . it’s good but can not use for koi show . . .
If you are not interested in koi show and don’t mind about scar on side, it’s good to take.
Good body, good sumi. (and cheap
)
Second Bekko is also nice but unfortunately, sumi is still underneath.
If your water make sumi development, this is interesting Bekko to take.
The father of Izumiya, Mr. Ichiro Mano is very pioneer and founder of Nishikigoi industry in Niigata.
Now a days, we mainly focus on body confirmation, quality and pattern when we evaluate Nishikigoi,
however, Mr. Ichiro Mano said “Suji” and “Shisei” is very important.
“Suji” is like a body line.
“Shisei” is like a posture.
The master of koi is long long way to go . . . . LOL
- Before(Left) in mud pond and After(Right) the harvest in 2011. They hadn’t been fed color up in 2010 but we gave some color up in 2011. Big difference!
